By The Time We Met, The Times Had Already Changed

Is it just me or is January flying by? Whenever the new year comes round, it always makes me think even more about life - you know, the usual suspects that pop up: how I would like the year to be, resolutions and how I can set about achieving them... Then there are other things you think about which stop you from getting drowned in the routine of everyday living, making you appreciate the simple pleasures in life...before we over-complicate things again!
     Since January is nearing its end (I know it's only the 20th but to me, we are not far from February!), just a small list of things I am looking forward to in 2011.


YAYS!

I love spring as it always represents a new start. I especially like the weather because it's still a bit chilly so I can continue wearing my scarves and knitwear but dry enough to be able to go stay out all day, sit in the park, even sit on the pavements(!). Anywhere I can sit my toosh down, I will! This is not possible during our wet and freezing winters in the UK! *rolls eyes* [Explaination: I have a thing for dry weather]. Hints of sunshine in the surroundings cheers me up to no end so when summer comes, I'm practically beaming!


Making new changes helps us to improve ourselves and grow. Life cannot remain the same or it would be boring! 

New music...

From upcoming and existing bands/artists is another thing which I am greatly anticipating. Discovering a new song, band or even rediscovering how much I already love a band/artist makes me incredibly happy. It affects the way I go about my daily business in that because I am happy, I treat life with as much enthusiasm and optimism as I possibly can. There may be times where I have lapses in this but I know that music is just a button away to reverse this.


Saying goodbye to people who have drifted in and out of my life.

I've come to a point where I feel those who create drama and turmoil, which in turn causes me to be unhappy and stress unnecessarily, are not even worth thinking about anymore. They have had their time to invade my space and after much consideration, since I am not a person to take on relationships/matters half-heartedly, it's au revoir dude! Life is not spent for wasting our energy on people who don't appreciate us and take us for who we are.

This is my good friend Ling who I love to bits! Whenever we meet up, we always have a good natter and such a laugh. We are like twins the way we think sometimes! Its spooky!
    I have a bad habit of not taking many photos so 2011 will be a year to rectify this dire situation ('cause how can you look back on memories if there are no photographs?! The brain does not always remember :l). I have shared so many great memories with Ling and loved ones that I hope 2011 continues in this vein.
