Ah i love this film. Haven't seen it in a while though. Deffo need to watch it again! And i'm so excited to go venice but i'm not sure how much money to bring :S. I'll be going for around 3 days, any advice? And I plan to drag my boyfriend around the art galleries and museums hehe. Which one was your fav?
It was on TV the other that - reason for the post. I fell in love with the film all over again ^_^ I can't remember exactly how much we took with us but my boyfriend said it was in the region of £500 or so. During the time, the exchange rate was poo so I don't know if you will fare better as money issues in the world are also abit poo. We sorted out our travel when we got there so try do the same as you guys are gonna be hopping on alot (and I mean, alot) of vaporettos. Definitely drag your boyfriend to the galleries and musuems! My favourites were the Peggy Guggenhiem, a must-see for works from Dali (so fascinating because you can read so much from his work), Jackson Pollack and many others. Make sure you go out into the garden and get your boyfriend to take a pic with the naked lady sculpture. I made my boyfriend hold her hand and they looked so cute ^_~ Another gallery to check out is Punta Della Dogana. At the time, the gallery had an exhibition called 'Mapping The Studio' which featured modern art work and it was really good (this is the gallery I told you about before that had Takashi Murakami work). It has a 70s style disco dancefloor right in the reception lobby so you will know you are at the right place! Hopefully, this exhibition is still going on when you visit but make sure you get a guide book too as there are quite a few other things to see in Venice. Hope this helps and have lots of fun!
Awww thanks for the great advice! I'm definitely going to write it down and make sure to research them before i go! I've bought a little guide book but it's listed so many things it's hard to choose which places to go! I'll be taking so many pictures to remember the beautiful place :)
You're welcome =) Try to go to as many that is listed in your guidebook! I say this since you can't do much shopping there. Its slim pickings... so ram lots of places in to visit! =p
